Information You Submit
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is transmitted to the independent provider that produces the result. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems can record routine server information, including an IP address, browser type, page request, and timestamp. We review aggregated technical information to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic measurement and, if applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
Information is used to operate the site, address technical issues, measure overall traffic, and improve reference material. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to municipal, county, state, library, archive, and independent search services. The privacy terms of the destination govern information submitted there, including information entered through sponsored search results. Review those policies before providing data to another service.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers may process the technical logs described above on our behalf. Analytics or advertising providers can receive automatic technical data. Information is disclosed when required by valid legal process and otherwise only as needed to operate the service.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Technical logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no user accounts, the site does not maintain visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe that a minor supplied information through a message, contact us so the material can be removed.
Privacy Requests and Public Records
Depending on the law where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a site holds. Because Teaneck Residents Directory keeps little visitor information, a request generally concerns a contact message or technical log. Contact us through the Contact page. Government records remain under the control of their custodians. New Jersey public-record requests are governed by OPRA, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., when applicable. Protected addresses may also be subject to Daniel's Law, P.L. 2020 c.125 and P.L. 2021 c.371, rather than to a request made to this private site.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after publication of a revised version indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
